Repro Steps

1> Build Solution AdventureWorksCS.sln or AdventureWorksVB.cln
2> Open Script 'Install.sql' with SSMS
3> Execute the script and check result

Expectation
===========
The Script should be run successfully

Actually

The Script run failed with error:

Steps:

1. Browser to the sample folder and open the sample readme file Readme_XmlOnlineCatalog.
2. Check the Comments paragraph of the file.
Expections:
===================
The content of the Comments in the readme file like the content in XmlManuInstructions's readme file, such as "Sample are provided for educational purpose only. ..."
Actual Results:
===================
The content of the Comments is null.
Comments:
====================
It is better to add "Sample are provided for educational purpose only. ..." into Readme_OnlineProductCatalog , so do that , it is complete.

Here is the code of sample ’XmlManuInstructions’, the line from 56 to 63.

You see, the author used ‘try’ to catch the exceptions, but didn’t deal with it. That maybe cause all exceptions being masked.
I would suppose the author wanted to do something in ‘finally’ but not completed.

Per the meeting I had with mrys and edle last week, assigning to mrys and the XML area path.
Environment:

1. Windows 2K3 ENT ENU.
2. Installed Katmai DEV 10.00.1049.07.
3. Installed Sample 70701
4. Installed Visual Studio 2005.

Steps:
=================================
1. Open theCS solution file "...\Samples\Engine\xml\XmlManuInstructions\CS\XmlManuInstructions.sln" in Whidbey.
2. Execute code analysis from the menu: Build -> Run Code Analysis on XmlManuInstructions.
3. Check the analysis results.
Expectation:
=================================
The analysis results should be "0 Error, 0 Warning, 0 Messages".
Actual:

Steps:

1. Open “<% sample path %> \Engine\xml\XmlOnlineCatalog\ReadMe_OnlineProductCatalog.htm”
2. Browse to the "Build the sample" segment and run the scripts\install.sql as per readme.

Expectation:
=================================
As per readme steps, sql_ProductCatalog HTTP Endpoint should be created without error.

Actual:
=================================
sql_ProductCatalog HTTP Endpoint could not be created with exception:
An error occurred while attempting to register the endpoint 'sql_ProductCatalog'. One or more of the ports specified in the CREATE ENDPOINT statement may be bound to another process. Attempt the statement again with a different port or use netstat to find the application currently using the port and resolve the conflict.

Comments:
=================================
1. Port 80 is used by another process which is more likely by IIS. If you stop the IIS Admin Service, you will see that you can run CREATE ENDPOINT statement successfully.
2. That would be better if adding some notes about it into the readme file.
3. The same issue happened on another XML samples. Such as XmlOnlineCatalog ,XmlSurvey.
4. Only occurred on WinXP sp2.
